Falmouth has maintained a long and distinguished reputation as a centre for commerce, both in the formal and informal sectors. Today the market is still one of the largest and most attended – especially on Wednesdays – when traders from all over the island congregate on the streets for “Bend-down market”. On Wednesdays, consumers can purchase all sorts of foodstuff, haberdashery and home items at some of the best prices available on the north coast.
